Your Tax Dollers
| February 14, 2007 Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your entire email list of family and friends. Liberals want to force tax-payers to fund their programming! Left wing MoveOn.org already has nearly 400,000 signed petitions urging the government to fund "their" news with our tax dollars! Dear ROY, The liberals are at it again! They want to use hundreds of millions of your tax dollars to insure that PBS and NPR can continue to spew forth what is America’s most liberal slant on the news. And they are determined to force you to pay for it! Already, MoveOn.org has gathered more than 370,000 names on their petition to send to Congress demanding that PBS and NPR be funded permanently with your tax dollars. Click here to see what MoveOn.org is doing. Those who believe that government has no business funding liberal news outlets have a lot of catching up to do. Please help us gather more signatures than the liberals at MoveOn.org get. In case you are not aware, MoveOn.org is heavily funded by George Soros, the billionaire who spent $27 million of his own money trying to defeat George W. Bush. Bill O’Reilly calls him the leader of the secular progressives in America. Every other non-profit broadcaster (which is what PBS and NPR are) has to raise their own funds, not go to the government to get hundreds of millions of dollars to operate. If PBS and NPR want to exist, let those who listen to them support them! Tell Congress not to tax you to pay for their programming! We are starting our efforts late. We are nearly 400,000 signatures behind. Help us play catch up. Sign your petition today. Then forward this to family and friends. We must not allow the liberals to force us to pay for their liberal news and programming with our tax dollars!
Sincerely, Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman P.S. Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends! | | |

Father Daughter Talk
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many
others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and
was very much in favor of the redistribution of wealth.
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a
feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had
participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her
father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he
thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on
the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs.
The
self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth
and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing
in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let
him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very
difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to
go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a
boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all
her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"
She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes,
she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She's so popular on campus,
college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and
lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung
over."
Her father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and
ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has
a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a
fair and equal distribution of GPA."
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired
back, "That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've
invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to
nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican
Party."
Some Liberals have good in them
I was working right in the White House the last 4 years of my military service and I retired in 1994. I spent two years with Bush Senior and then the last two with Clinton.
From the White House I took a job as a Telecommunications Manager for the US Treasury right next door to the White House.
The second day there I was asked to project manage a phone answering / recording project having to do a gun control bill that Clinton and his Treasury Secretary Bentsen at the time. The idea of the phone answering project was to record the public’s opinion pro or con of the gun control bill. Well guess what? They asked me and the other ones sitting it up to make sure we recorded all the pro calls but we were to record no more than 5 of the con votes and simply record over the 5 repeatedly. The statement made was no one wants to hear the raving of a bunch of right wing NRA gun nuts!
Needless to say I did not agree with that and went up the chain with that. I am not exactly how it all ended all I know is that I was taken off the project by the end of the day.
I won’t apologize when the truth hurts but most of us know we are living in a real world and not Never Never Land.
Understanding Democrat Tax Reforms
If you don't understand the Democrats' version of tax refunds, maybe this analogy will help explain it: 50,000 people go to a baseball game, but the game was rained out. A refund was due. A group of Congressional Democrats stopped them and suggested that they send out the ticket refunds based on the Democrat National Committee's interpretation of fairness. Originally the refunds were to be paid based on the price each person had paid for the tickets. Unfortunately that meant most of the refund money would be going to the ticket holders who purchased the most expensive tickets. This, according to the DNC, is totally unfair. A decision was then made to pay the refunds thus: People in the $10 seats will get $15. After all, they had less money to spend on tickets to begin with. People in the $25 seats will get $25, because it "seems fair." People in the $50 seats will get $1, because they already make a lot of money and don't need a refund. After all, if they can afford a $50 ticket, they must not be paying enough taxes. People in the $75 luxury box seats will each pay an additional $25 because it's the "right thing to do." People walking past the stadium who couldn't afford to buy a ticket will each receive a $10 refund. They need the most help. Sometimes, this is known as Affirmative Action. Now do you understand? If not, contact Representative Nancy Pelosi and Senators Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton for assistance.
